17th INFANTRY REGIMENT MEMORIAL INFORMATION PAGE The Association unveiled the "17th Infantry Regiment Memorial" in October of 2005 and now we're embarking on another campaign to raise money to have the monument improved, repaired, and moved to the new Infantry Museum currently being built. We will continue to sell memorial pavers until we run out of room on the Memorial. All additional paver sales will be used for Memorial maintenance as well as for future costs that will be occurred when we move the Memorial to the site of the new Infantry Museum in 2008-2009. Veterans of the Association, all alumni of combat in various wars: World War II, Korean War, Vietnam, Panama, Iraq and other service to include peace time and deployment on the DMZ in Korea during the Cold war. We are offering personalized paver stones for the memorial for a contribution of $117.00 (117 to celebrate and honor the only active Battalion of the Regiment, The 1st Battalion of the 17th Infantry Regiment stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington.
