Guest Welcome Message

Welcome Guest

Welcome to the 17th Infantry Regiment Association's website.

Our Association is a Incorporated, Non-Profit Organization whose main purpose is to serve as a link between the past and the present through preservation and perpetuation of the history and traditions of our great regiment.  The 17th Infantry Regiment has a long and proud history, both in war and in peace. Soldiers of this regiment are currently serving on active-duty in the United States Army. Soldiers of this regiment have been serving continuously since the beginning of the Civil War in 1861. Our web pages seek to tell the story of the 17th Infantry Regiment, and to bring together current and former members of the 17th Infantry who share that special bond of camaraderie that so few Americans are ever able to experience -- the mutual seasoning and discipline and pride engendered by a tour of duty with the 17th Infantry. Our web pages are dedicated to that purpose.

Membership to the Association is open to all who served in or with the 17th Infantry Regiment, in peace time or times of war. Associate and Lineal memberships are available as well. Individual dues are $17.00 for an annual membership, or $150 for a life membership. Both include a subscription to the 17th Infantry Association's Newsletter, The Buffalo Bugle, which contains items such as personal stories, Association news, photographs, and other interesting information. There is also news about the 17th Infantry's only remaining active duty Battalion, the 1st Battalion serving at Fort Lewis, Washington. Your subscription also entitles you to special web features that will only be accessible if you are an Association member.

Guest: Access to general information pages

Registered Member: Access to the forum, guestbook, and photographs

Association Member: "Full access to include member profiles, documents, downloads, and the newsletter archives."

If you've served with the 17th Infantry Regiment during peace time or war please think about joining the Association to keep the Brotherhood of the Buffalo going strong for many years to come.
